Woodwind and Brass Auditions for Class Placment
All Woodwind and Brass Players that are going to be in a Band Class at Forsyth Central High School will need to complete the Class Placement Audition.
The Audition consists of 3 sections. Students will video themselves playing each of the 3 sections.
Make a separate Video for each section.
Submit the links in the Google Form below by April, 19th at 4pm.
Section 1. Scales and Arpeggios - There are 3 levels of Scales and Arpeggios that you can play. Students wishing to be in Wind Ensemble should play all 12 scales and arpeggios. Students wishing to be in Symphonic Band should play 8 scales and arpeggios.
Play as many scales and arpeggios as you can play!

Percussion/Drumline Try-Outs
All Percussionists that are going to be in the Forsyth Central Drumline will come to Try-Outs/Auditions on April 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th from 4:30pm-6:30pm. We will be covering the Drumline Exercises and setting the Drumline for the 2024 Season.
We need students to make it to all 4 days. Sticks and Mallets will be provided.
During Try-Outs, we'll be playing through the exercises located HERE.

Colorguard Audition Information!
Colorguard Try-Outs/Auditions will be on April 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th from 4:30pm-6:30pm
Who does colorguard? The FCHS Colorguard is a group of students ranging from grades 9-12. The team prides themselves on accepting all students from all backgrounds of race, identity, gender, and ability.
What if I have NO experience? 95% of our current membership started with NO experience on how to do colorguard. The Colorguard educational team is dedicated and well experienced on how to get individuals to our high level of excellence.
Where does colorguard take place? 90% of your time will be spent in rehearsal on the practice field or in the dome gym at FCHS.
When does colorguard practice/perform? After July Band Camp, You can usually expect to spend 3 days a week after school practicing colorguard with the team. We usually go 4-6:30. You can expect to be performing at every home game halftime show, as well as a few competitions a year.
How do I become part of the team? Even if you just want to give it a try! Come join us during our fall auditions in Late April.
Why do colorguard at FCHS? The FCHS colorguard is a highly competitive and successful program that promotes personal growth, self-discipline, and passion for the arts. We want you! Come see what we are all about.
